Kevin Garrett served over 21 years as an administrator in a Mississippi Public School District. During his career, he held responsibility over almost all non-academic areas, including serving as Chief Financial Officer for the entire time of service. He served almost 11 years as a city Alderman and also has experience in the private sector. He holds a BS degree in Accounting and a MEd in Business Information Systems; Mississippi Department of Education endorsements held at the time of retirement include that of Administrator (486) and School Business Administrator (420). He is also a Certified Municipal Official as designated by the Mississippi Municipal League. Since retirement, Kevin has consulted in several school districts without Business Administrators or with new Business Administrators, served as an MDE-appointed Financial Advisor and has monitored Federal Programs through the Mississippi Department of Education.
